Rebekah + Nick | Engagement

3 years ago, at a wedding in Two Harbors, I was seated for dinner at the table with the Colorado friends. During this time at most weddings, I like to check over my list as well as re-charge mentally and creatively for the speeches and dancing portion of the night. This is when I let my assistant carry on the conversations at the table while I check out.

This table was different though. They were the fun out-of-town people, here to enjoy their time to the fullest. It was contagious. I just remember laughing and completely forgetting I was working. I was simply enjoying good company.

Rebekah and myself became facebook & instagram buddies, liking each others things over the past few years. She boldly stated I would be her photographer in the future.

Last fall they were back in town so we scheduled a shoot up in Chisago, MN. Once again, I forgot I was working because the vineyard we went to had free samples. We just cracked jokes and enjoyed good conversations. I remember looking out the window and noticing it was getting darker out and panicked, "Guys! We should probably take your engagement photos!"

We snapped a few at the vineyard and quickly drove up to Taylors Falls for what felt like 10 minutes. It was a short shoot but we got some awesome photos and most importantly, we just had fun.

If you know me, you know I am beside myself excited to travel for their wedding in Crested Butte, CO in FOUR MONTHS!!!!!!!

Nick and Rebekah, thank you x10 for being such dream clients.

Love always,
Megan

Amazing year, amazing people.

The past year has been perfectly busy. Not too overwhelming but not too slow either. I am thankful and indebted to those of you who have passed my name along to someone in need of portraits. I love seeing old clients and seeing how much their kids grow and change. It's also been fun to meet new people and build new relationships. After every shoot I leave feeling so energized. They way I see your family interact and documenting kids unique personalities is what keeps me going.

It has become too much for me to post every session and I really hate that I cannot give each one the spot light here on this blog. Right now, business is slower and I've had a chance to catch up on some back end things. I wanted to make one big giant post in appreciation to anyone who has hired me in the past year. So this one's for you...

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for another year of photos and fun.
